Our Largest Event Ever - over 100,000 in BH, Brazil

On April 21, we were blessed to have the largest evangelistic outreach in the history of our churches (Maranatha started about 38 years ago). Click here to see a great Power Point presentation about it.

Final numbers are still coming in, but it appears that over 100 thousand people attended our evangelistic campaign in Belo Horizonte, Brazil!

Only about half of those present were church members - the rest were visitors! Thank the Lord for the harvest of the Last Hour! If you want more details in Portuguese, click on our Brazilian website.

APRIL: Youth, High School & College Students

During the month of April, all of our churches around the world are focusing our prayers and evangelism on young people (singles from age 15 up), and high school and college students generally. We want to strengthen and equip the young people in our churches so that they can be truly effective in evangelizing their peers, and we want to bring the gospel to the unreached youth in our communities.

Maranatha Christian Church hosted an event last night called the ''Great Evangelism," in the Paulo Sarasate Gymnasium. Gathering adherents from the Metropolitan Area of Fortaleza and a few cities in the western part of the State, the meeting was presided over by Pastor ___, and it addressed the great catastrophes occuring around in the world and their connection with Bible prophecies.

Founded in the Espírito Santo in 1967, today Maranatha Christian Church Maranata exists in 54 countries. ''Jesus Christ will return - this is our message. Our principal objectives are to prepare the people for Jesus' return, and to strengthen the basic values of the country, such as the patriotism and the family,'' explains to Pastor C___, one of the organizers of the event.

C____ added that the pastors of Maranata are all volunteers, and the Church never campaigns to collect tithes and offeringss. By his account, nearly 11,000 people were expected in this meeting, which had occurred there on two previous occasions. In July 2004, 3000 adherents attended the event. In January 2005, the number of participants grew to 7700 people.

Pray for Upcoming Seminars in Korea and Japan

Two pastors from North America will be visiting our church in Seoul, Korea for a small seminar there on this coming Saturday (Nov. 12, 2005) - and then will do the same for our churches in Japan on Sunday (Nov. 13, 2005). We ask our members to keep these events in prayer!

Myrtle Beach Evangelism Oct 19

We are praising the Lord for the blessing he gave recently to a small group of brethren starting a church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. On Oct. 19, 2005, 14 members of the nascent group hosted an event that drew 74 visitors, many of whom expressed a desire for follow-up contact or visits.

Please pray for the new group that is beginning in Myrtle Beach, and pray that our evangelistic outreaches in other locations around the country could be similarly successful!
