New Meetingplace for Dominican Republic Church

Recently the Maranatha group in Dominican Republic outgrew its original meeting place and needed to lease a bigger place for public services. It was a great step forward for the group there to get a storefront that can seat 50 people. It is situated in a small shopping center where the church will have more visibility to attract visitors.

Like most of our churches do when they need to find a new location for the church, the group there fasted together (from midnight to 9 am each day, without food or drink) for a full month for the Lord to provide a place. God provided a great location. The governing board of our Body of churches, located in Brazil, sought the Lord for confirmation that this was indeed the right place. Once confirmed, the local church negotiated a favorable lease and completed the necessary renovations. The opening service was held July 3, 2005.

Those in DR (RD, as they call it) who would like to visit can find the church at: Avenida Núñez de Cáceres (marginal) # 370-B local 2B, el Millón, SantoDomingo, RD. You can write to us at askapastor@maranathacentral.org for more information. Photos show the group preparing before the service.
