The Body At Work: Mobilizing Members to Pray

In Maranatha, we put a lot of emphasis on working together as the Body of Christ. One manifestation of this is the way we mobilize our members to pray together. In the last three days, nearly 120 people from our churches coast to coast have signed up for a 24-hour prayer chain (for the coming week) to intercede on behalf of one of our deacons in Connecticut who has been hospitalized for some time. Members log in through this site, follow the links to sign up for individual 15-minute prayer slots, and all the churches work together.

Similarly, this month all our churches worldwide have coordinated days for prayer, fasting, etc. for our global outreach efforts directed at children. In addition, our churches in different regions of North America are each praying for our brethren and seminar activities in different countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
